What are VHF channels?

If all boaters are on the same channel, it becomes a crowded situation. That's why we use VHF channels in the Netherlands. These are also called block channels. Every area in the Netherlands works with its own channel. As soon as you enter an area with a VHF channel, you will see a sign with a red border and the letters VHF plus a number.
